Glyde and DUN

Hello!
I recently purchased a Glyde and am having an issue with the DUN...
I followed the instructions specifically regarding QPST and set everything up correctly. DUN works very well, but then I can not text message or make calls until I dial *228 and reprogram.
Searching the internet brought me to a thread on another forum where someone was having the same issue. Unfortunately no fix is posted.
Ideas?
