How do I sync lotus 6.5 to my I760 WITHOUT Outlook?

My company does not install Outlook on our IMB Thinkpad laptops.(OS is Windows XP) My goal is to sync Lotus 6.5 to my i760 via USB simply to get my Calender and Contacts on my laptop. I do not need or even want to connect to the company server, or even go wireless. I'm not even worried about email. Verizon CS told me specifically the i760 would sync to Lotus, but I guess there's a little more to it. (as usual!)
I appreciate any insight.
