Microsoft Voice Command not working on Samsung SCH-i760
I can't the Microsoft Voice Command software that came bundled with my Samsung to work properly. I have scoured Microsoft Support AND Verizon's Support Site as well as many pocketpc/smartphone forums online without finding any useful information about how to resolve my issue, which is quite simple:it does not respond to my voice commands at all.
When I press button "1" as instructed, I see the microphone icon pop-up and a beep occurs, but no matter how carefully I follow the step by step voice commands provided on the Verizon CD user manual that came with the phone, nothing happens whatsoever after this, (except on one of about 30 different types of trys a recorded voice came on providing me with today's date (which I hadn't asked for).
I know the issue isn't my accent or speaking voice (I've done voice over's).
Shouldn't verizon supply me with a softcopy of the software to reinstall as it seems not to be working properly and yet there is no way to reload it? I don't feel like spending $39.99 online to buy it again unless I know for certain from Samsung/Verizon that there are no known compatibility issues with this application in the first place.
Any help would be appreciated.
