Minimize buttons needed to use phone?

Can anyone give me advice on whether the i760 can be set up to be more easily used as a phone? As it is, I have to turn on the unit with the button on top, enter my password and then dial. Is there any way the device can be set up to be used as a phone just by using the phone keypad? Thanks!
