How to lock / unlock Samsung Renown

Locking and unlocking the wireless device - Samsung Renown (SCH-u810)
The Phone Lock feature helps prevent unauthorized use of the device by disabling outbound data and voice calls. The device will still be able to receive phone calls and place emergency calls to 9-1-1.

1. From the main screen, press OK to choose Menu.
2. Select Settings and Tools then press OK.
3. Select Phone Settings then press OK.
4. Select Phone Security then press OK.
5. Enter the Lock Code then press OK.
   The default lock code is the last 4-digits of the mobile phone number.
6. Select Phone Lock Setting then press OK.
   To enable phone lock on a one time basis, select Lock Phone Now then press OK.
7. Select the desired option then press OK. Unlocked Phone lock is disabled. On Power Up Phone lock is enabled each time the device is powered up.

To unlock the phone:

• When prompted to Enter unlock code, enter the 4-digit lock code (the default lock code is the last 4 digits of the mobile phone number) then press OK.
