Enabling / disabling / modifying the SIM PIN - Samsung Saga

Enabling the
Subscriber Identity Module (
SIM)
Personal Identification Number (
PIN) locks the SIM card so that it cannot be used until the correct code is entered. If the incorrect PIN code is entered too many times, a
PIN Unlock Key (
PUK) must be obtained from Verizon Wireless. Ensure a SIM card is properly inserted and the Network mode is set to
International GSM mode.
- From the Today screen, tap Start > Phone.

- Tap Menu > Options.

- Tap Security. (located at the bottom of the screen).

Enabling / disabling the SIM PIN
- Ensure Require PIN when phone is used is checked / unchecked.

- Enter the current PIN code then tap Enter.
The default PIN code is 1111.

Modifying the SIM PIN

Ensure
Require PIN when phone is used is checked.
- Tap Change PIN.

- Enter the current PIN code then tap Enter.

- Enter the new PIN code (4 to 8 digits) then tap Enter.

- Re-enter the new PIN code then tap Enter.

- Tap ok.
