Performing a hard reset - Samsung Saga
A hard reset is the last resort for troubleshooting. This reset will erase all data and restore preferences to factory default specifications. Performing a hard reset is only recommended when the existing data has been backed up or is unwanted.


Preferred Method

1. From the Today screen, tap Start > Phone.
   
2. Tap Menu > Options.
   
3. From the Security tab, tap Clear All Data.
   
4. Enter the password (the default password is the last 4 digits of the mobile number) then tap OK.
   
5. Tap Yes.
   

Alternate method

1. Press and hold the touch pad.
   
2. While holding down the touch pad, use the stylus to gently press and release the reset button.
   Continue to hold down the touch pad until the caution screen is displayed.
   
3. When Are you sure you want to format? appears on the screen, release the touch pad then press the Send key.
