Modifying push and interval sync settings - Windows Mobile
The following images may differ from what appears on the screen, however the steps are the same.
  1. Launch Wireless Sync.
    • From the Today screen, tap Start > Programs > Wireless Sync.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap When to Sync.
  4. Adjust settings as desired then tap Advanced.
    Push
    The device will receive new data as it arrives.
    Timed interval
    The device will receive new data in intervals (e.g. every hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, 12 hours, etc).
    Limit sync to
    Limits synchronization to certain days of the week (e.g. Everyday or Weekdays only).
    Not Before / Not After
    Limits the time frame synchronization will occur.
    Disable if battery is less than
    Limits synchronization based on minimum battery strength.
  5. Adjust settings as desired then tap ok (located in the upper-right corner).
    Initiate network connection
    Allows Wireless Sync to initiate and maintain the connection. This setting cannot be modified.
    Initiate even if device is powered off
    Allows Wireless Sync to initiate and maintain the connection when the device goes into sleep mode.
    Sync when device connects
    Allows Wireless Sync to synchronize whenever a connection is established (e.g. browsing the Internet). This setting cannot be modified.
    High / Low-speed connection default
    These settings cannot be modified.
    Use network push
    The Verizon Wireless network notifies Wireless Sync that a connection is needed. This option is not available if synchronizing in a Timed interval.
    Use SMS push
    SMS messages are used to notify Wireless Sync that a connection is needed. This functionality is not available.
  6. Tap ok (located in the upper-right corner).
