Cool just got a moto krzr fire...this didn't work...

i used to use this trick with my LGVX7000 and it worked like a champ. however, with the moto krzr...i can save the files in the "sounds" section of the phone...but it doesn't look like "sounds" are available as ringtones. i sent these file formats: wav, mp3, mid.

i also used my pixplace account to download directly to the phone. that didn't work either.

using the sd card gets the files into the phone (which you can then move them to the phone's memory) but that failed as well. note that there is no "ringtone" folder on the sd card.

is there a way around this or did verzion get wise?

Using the "mynumber@vzwpix.com" ringtone transfer method, I successfuly sent a ringtone I made to my Motorola KRZR K1m Fire.
I could save as "Sound" and play, but found no option to use as ringtone.
There is no microcard in the phone.
Not to worry,

My other option is the "Pix n' Tunes Kit" from Susteen DataPilot .
Pix n' Tunes should work with both my phones, Motorola KRZR K1m Fire and LG VX8600.

ps. I tried the "mynumber@vzwpix.com" method with the VX8600 and there was the option to save as ring tone.

Default Make your own ringtones

We have found that if you keep the clip to around 15 seconds the sound quality is much better than if it is longer. Try it!!!

For better sound quality, or if your phone can use this, then try my other method posted today in the tips section "a990 peeps"
