How to enable EVDO DUN on ANY EVDO capable phone in 10 easy steps!

This doesn't seem to work with my Razr V3m...
Everything up to the "write file" works fine. I do the write file, and my phone's screen flickers. I get an error in the QPST Programming.
I then re-read from phone, and the teathered NAI is back to the dun.vzw3g.com.

I've tried doing this in test mode, and in normal mode. I tried Different USB cables etc. etc.. I tried writing the file, power cycling my phone and re-reading, but it's back to default...

ideas?

let me ask a question and give a little background first.

Before following the instructions in the beginning of this thread, i had already made a successful connection to the Verizon network via tethering. I had only installed the motorola drivers, then created my DUN connection. When the phone was connected, I would type www.google.com and a verizon web page would appear. It told me to subscribe to their $59.99 tethering service.

THEN, after following the steps in this thread, I can connect to google.com BUT my phone shows the words "data packet" and not showing a "voice call."

I have a W385.

So heres the question. Am I being charged for data, or voice minutes?

Question - if I follow the instructions on page 1 of this thread, will I be able to use dial up on my V750 without having to purchase a data package? Don't know if this will work for Revision A or not.

I don't know whether it will work on EVDO RevA or not either. The theory is the same but it is using a different chipset and who knows what they may have changed. All it takes is 1 bit to be off and it won't work.

Anybody had success with EVDO Rev A?

I got it to work with my V750 by using Motorola Phone Tools. and changing the tethered NAI. Worked beautifully for a while until Phone tools updated. Now my computer won't recognize my V750 at all. Question: Is there a web site where I can download drivers for my V750? It seems as if the Moto web site wants me to buy Moto Phone Tools for 40 bucks. The copy I had came with the USB cord and only cost 5 bucks. I am looking for free drivers or another program I can use to tether my phone.

Got it to work beutifully by following the directions at the top of this thread. Downloaded the usb drivers for handsets from motorola. I am posting this from somewhere between Jacksonville and Gainseville FL on the road.
