V CAST Mobile TV Programs on Handset- What is V CAST Mobile TV? V CAST Mobile TV is the name for Verizon Wireless' high quality mobile TV delivery service. With V CAST Mobile TV, you can experience real full motion video and sound to stay abreast of the latest news, entertainment, sport scores and plays all from your handset.
- What can I do from my V CAST Mobile TV enabled handset? You can display real TV programs from news, entertainment, sports and weather categories. Navigate and select programming from an intuitive and familiar Media Program Guide. Surf channels, view program descriptions, and set parental controls.
- What Verizon Wireless data services enabled handsets offer V CAST Mobile TV service? V CAST Mobile TV requires a dedicated service. To see current V CAST Mobile TV handsets, visit the compatible handsets page on the V CAST Mobile TV companion website for an up to date list of V CAST Mobile TV enabled handsets.
- How do I access V CAST Mobile TV on my handset? Access to V CAST Mobile TV is available via a dedicated "Mobile TV" media key on the external body of the device. In addition, a user can access the application from the Get It Now menu.
- How do I subscribe to V CAST Mobile TV? Currently, you can subscribe to V CAST Mobile TV from the Subscription Manager of V CAST Mobile TV handsets. The Subscription Manager is presented to the user immediately following the Activation (initial launch) of the V CAST Mobile TV client. It is also available under the Options menu.
- Where can I use V CAST Mobile TV? To watch V CAST Mobile TV you must be in a Mobile TV Coverage Area .
- Do I use voice minutes when I'm using the application or watching a program? No, when you watch programming on Mobile TV, you do not incur airtime charges during usage.
- What content is available for V CAST Mobile TV? The channel line-up for the V CAST Mobile TV Basic Package currently includes:
- CBS Mobile
- Comedy Central
- Fox Mobile
- MTV Mobile
- NBC
- NBC News
- Nickelodeon

- Can I save V CAST Mobile TV program? No. You will not be able to save the V CAST Mobile TV program contents to your handset.
- What is the difference between multicast programming and downloaded video clips? V CAST Mobile TV uses a dedicated multicast network for the delivery of its television programming. This delivers the programming in a linear manner that does not require the user to wait for connections or for the program to buffer. Channel acquisition time, frames per second, and audio/video synchronization are all consistent with real television. The user must be in V CAST Mobile TV (FLO) coverage to view linearly streamed programming. Downloading a video clip requires a data connection and for the complete file to be transmitted and saved or streamed or buffered to the device before the clip can be viewed. Typically, the file is stored locally on the device and can be accessed with or without coverage. Programs viewed on V CAST Mobile TV cannot be downloaded and saved.
- Can I receive an inbound call while looking at a V CAST Mobile TV program? Yes. You will be prompted of an incoming call and will have the option to accept or ignore the call. If you take the call, the application will be suspended and will resume once the call has ended. However, you will rejoin your program already in progress. If you ignore the call, the application will resume and rejoin the program still in progress. The program being watched will not pause or suspend.
- Can I receive an inbound TXT Message while looking at a V CAST Mobile TV program? Yes. You will be prompted of an incoming text message and will have the option to accept or ignore the message. If you take the message, the application will be suspended and will resume once you finish viewing the message. However, you will rejoin your program already in progress. If you ignore the incoming message, the application will resume and rejoin the program still in progress. The program being watched will not pause or suspend.
