Default Free VCast for a month

Whenever you get a new phone with VCast (for the first time only I think), Verizon let you try the VCast for free for a month.

And if you don't or forget to cancel, then they will bill you $15 per month.

Since I upgraded to a new VCast phone today, I've signed up for this feature.

So far, it's pretty cool. Let's see if I still think it's worth extra $15 a month after playing with it for a month.

My question is , when the month is over and I cancel VCast, how do you uninstall it from the phone? or does it not get uninstalled.

I have not installed any applications on the VX8600, but yet 10.93MB is currently being used for "applications".
This is from System Info menu:
"System Info"
Memory 55% Full
13.08MB / 23.67MB
VCAST 166K
Video 0K
Picture 157K
My Ringtones 1.79MB
My Sounds 24K
Applications 10.93MB

When VCAST trial is over, what program will play my music located on the microSD card?

I think that I'm some what confused as to what VCAST really is.
Is it also my music and video player?

VCast is not really an application you load or unload on your phone.

It's the video service.

Basically for a flat fee, they let you download pre-selected short videos (from ESPN for example) on your phone using their high-speed data network and watch it.

VCast does not effect how you play music on your phone.

I had it for free for a month when I got my VX-8100. I played with it for few days but never really saw the value of additional $15 so I cancelled it. Haven't had the need to want to use it ever since.

You cancel it by calling the customer service.

VCast itself is just the application you use to download ringtones and pictures, but there are charges for each. So, just because it's free for a month doesn't mean the ringtones are free. Once you pay for it, it's yours whether you have VCast or not.
