Resolving Windows Device Manager conflicts - Verizon Wireless Blitz
The Verizon Wireless Blitz must have Media transfer Protocol (MTP) disabled to be used as a modem or USB device.





Windows 2000 / XP
  • Start Device Manager:
    Click Start > (Settings) Control Panel > (Performance and Maintenance) > System > Hardware > Device Manager.
Windows Vista
  • Start Device Manager:
    Click Start > (Settings) Control Panel > (System and Maintenance) > Device Manager.
    If prompted, click Continue.
For detailed instructions, refer to Opening Windows Device Manager.
The following devices are normally installed:
Modems PANTECH Handset (UDP) Ports (COM & LPT) PANTECH Handset Diagnostic Serial Port (UDP) (COM x) Universal Serial Bus controllers PANTECH Handset USB Composite Device (UDP)
If a conflict is present, a red X, yellow ! or yellow ? is displayed to the left of a listed device or may be indicated by a device entry labeled Other Devices or Unknown. The drivers must be updated or reinstalled.
If a conflict is present:
  1. Ensure that the device drivers are installed. Refer to Installing USB drivers - Windows or Installing VCAST Music Essentials Kit for further assistance.
    If the device drivers are installed and a conflict is still present, continue to step 2.
  2. Right-click the device then click Update Driver Software....
    If using Windows 2000 / XP, right-click the device then click Update Driver...
  3. Click Browse my computer for driver software.
    If using Windows 2000 / XP, select Install from a list or specific location (Advanced) then click Next.
  4. Enter C:\Program Files\HTC\WModem_Installer\WinXp into the search window then click Next.
    If using Windows 2000 / XP, ensure that Search for the best driver in these locations and Include this location in the search are selected.
    The driver location can be entered manually or navigated to by clicking Browse.
  5. Click Close.
    If using Windows 2000 / XP, click Finish.

Ok im still having Trouble. When i disable it my computer then Detects Pantech USB Modem ? Dont understand that. But i downloaded the Pantech USB Modem Drivers and it installed VCAccess Manager. But it wont Detect the phone. I still have a Conflict in device manager. I tried to do it manual driver find by updating driver from VZAccess folder but that wont work either. Plz help. I cant transfer any song to this phone. When i disable and hook it up it ask me to Sync using Windows media player. I try that and nothing happens. Windwos media wont even open.
