Default Verizon's New Every Two®

Get a new wireless phone every two years!

With our New Every Two program, you can keep up with the latest in wireless services because your wireless phone can be updated to a newer model every two years. No matter what the future advancements might be, you’ll always have the option to enjoy the latest features available.

You can get a free phone every two years with New Every Two
Sign up for and maintain two years of service on a digital plan of $34.99 or higher to qualify for a free phone up to a $50 or $100 value, depending on the monthly access of your plan, or receive a credit of the same amount toward the purchase of a more expensive phone, with a two-year renewal.

How do you sign up for New Every Two?
You are automatically enrolled in our New Every Two program when you sign up for a two-year agreement on a calling plan with a monthly access of $34.99 or higher. If you maintain service on a calling plan of $34.99 or higher and fulfill your two-year term, you will qualify for a free phone. If your calling plan monthly access is $79.99 or higher for the entire three months prior to completing your New Every Two phone upgrade, you will get up to $100.00 toward the purchase of that phone. If your calling plan monthly access was between $34.99 and $79.98 at any time during the three months prior to completing your New Every Two phone upgrade, you will get up to $50.00 toward the purchase of that phone. When completing your New Every Two upgrade, you will need to renew your agreement for another two years on a calling plan with a monthly access of $34.99 or higher.

If you are not currently in the program, you can enroll by agreeing to a new two-year term on a calling plan with a monthly access of $34.99 or higher. You will be eligible to take advantage of the phone offer at the end of the two-year term.

Sign up today with our New Every Two program and you’ll always be ready for tomorrow.

You must retain the same wireless handset for 24 months in order to receive the full advantages of this program. If you choose to replace your handset at a discounted price, you will forfeit your benefits and be automatically reenrolled if you meet the requirements of the program. If you enrolled in the program on or after 11/25/02, you must take advantage of the New Every Two offer within six months of becoming eligible; otherwise, you may be charged full retail price to upgrade your current handset. Discount amount will be applied toward the two-year Customer Agreement retail price. Secondary Family SharePlan® lines are not eligible to participate in the program. The New Every discount cannot exceed the price of the phone after mail in rebates. If your two-year Customer Agreement with a digital calling plan of $34.99 or higher began on or after 6/02/03, you were automatically enrolled in the program. Customers who began their two-year agreements on or after 4/01/00 on a digital calling plan of $35.00 or higher were also automatically enrolled in the program. If you enrolled in the program prior to 2/5/06 and continued to meet the requirements of the program, you will be eligible for a free phone up to $100, or a credit of up to $100 toward a more expensive phone, when you become eligible for your next New Every Two upgrade (after which time you will be enrolled in the $50/$100 New Every Two program described above). New Every Two discount amounts and calling plan tiers subject to change at Verizon Wireless’ sole discretion.

Even though the rule says it's every 24 months, my experience tells me that it's really 22 months.

When you've had your same phone for 22 months, you will be eligible for a new phone with $100 credit. So, if they are offering normally $300 new phone to new subscribers signing 2 year contract for $100, the existing subscriber can get the same phone for free, with another 2 year contract. (You'll still have to pay for the tax on $100, I believe)

Also, Verizon phones in general are not accessory compatible so when you change to new phone, you will need to purchase new accessories that matches your new phone, such as car charger.

That's how I was able to get my new VX8100.

Actually, I had to stop the plan couple of times while I was in overseas, so the actual time from last time I exchanged phone was more than 22 months, but I didn't have the service turned on for more than probably 12 - 14 months, but apparently their computer system said I was eligible for the new phone so I glad did. Verizon was pretty cool about the whole thing.

The one difference I noticed from last time was that they used to offer free transfer of all my address books from the old phone to the new phone. Now, they were charging me $10 to do the transfer so I declined.

Default Question Re: Verizon New Every Two

My phone (a LG VXsomething) is eligible to be replaced on June 27th). My current plan has changed once or twice since within the last two years. But apparently if I sign for another two year agreement I will be entitled to my $100 rebate. So, I was looking at the "upgrade" options and am wondering what prices I will see on June 27.

Right now if I used the verizonwireless website to get a new phone I'd pay the non-contract rate. My question is what prices will I see on June 27 when I am eligible for a new phone? Am I going to see contract rates with a $100 off rebate?

Any help is appreciated.

It's hard to predict what price you will see on that day as Verizon runs different promotion from time to time.

For example, last year when my wife was up for renewal, Verizon store had VX8100 for $99 and Samsung a950 for $199, but the sales lady told us that just weeks ago, it was opposite with Samsung at $99 and LG at $199.

Verizon is pushing really hard on the Motorola Razr nowadays, with only $79 with 2 year renewal. I just saw that on Verizon website that they are giving away Razr for free with 2 year renewal. Since you are entitled to $100 credit, your out the door price is same (unless you get some additional accessories)

I think Razr is probably the best phone they have on Verizon store, except that it does not support external memory so you can't play your own MP3 songs. I heard there is a new Razr coming out that will support external memories around Jun/Jul time frame for Cingular. I don't know when Verizon version will come out, or if it will.

You might want to check again around end of June when you are due for a new phone.
