the smt 5800 is by far the best all around device i have ever had! please give me a few days and i hope to have a full review by sunday.

I finally saw one today. I was at SJ airport this afternoon and someone was having trouble with his and had to help him out on how to get it out of the airplane mode.

It display was smaller that I thought and it was a bit thick. Still a very nice device for a decent price.

Well I spent 5 wonderful days with the Smt5800 and it went back this morning. First of all the device was very nice,Small compact but too small for me. The sliding keyboard was bad for me,I have rather big fingers and texting on the fly was not good. My friends were sending text back asking be if i was on crack because there were so many other letters and numbers in my messages (lol) I will post a full review tonight after work. I decided to get the xv6800 it is more my size with a ba-jillion xtra features.

I thought it was a bit on the small side as well. Small is good in most cases but you still want the display to be big and the keypads to be big enough to be able to type comfortably.

It depends whether you are new or upgrading after 2 years. If you are new, you pay the subsidized price which I think is around $349. If you are eligible for $100 credit toward new hone, it will be $249.
